10T Pyrolysis Plant

PyrolysisUnit’s 10T pyrolysis plant is available in two configurations — both designed for waste tires only.
Batch Type: Processes whole tires with no pre-shredding required. Semi-automatic control, lower initial investment. Steel wire and recovered carbon black discharge together after each cooling cycle — simple to operate, but workshop dust is higher during discharge.

Semi-Continuous Type: Processes rubber powder (pre-shredded tires). Continuous quantitative feeding with no cooling period between cycles — oil and slag output continuously. Steel wire is extracted before pyrolysis, eliminating the discharge step. Carbon black discharged through a fully enclosed system. Full PLC control for better precision and operability. Result: cleaner workshop, higher automation.

FAQ

How The Batch Type 10T Pyrolysis Plant Works>>

Drying(Optional)

Waste tires are first dried to remove excess moisture, ensuring stable heating and higher oil yield during pyrolysis.

Cutting

The dried tires are then cut into smaller pieces to increase surface area and improve heat transfer efficiency inside the reactor.

Feeding

The shredded tires are automatically fed into the sealed pyrolysis reactor through a fully enclosed feeding system to prevent air leakage.

Pyrolysis

Inside the reactor, the tires are heated to about 400–450°C in an oxygen-free environment. The rubber decomposes into oil vapor, recovered carbon black, steel wire, and combustible gas.

Oil-Gas Separation

The mixed oil and gas are directed into a cooling and condensing system where pyrolysis oil is collected, while the non-condensable gas is recycled as heating fuel.

Recovered Carbon Black & Steel Separation

After cooling, solid residues are discharged. The recovered carbon black is collected for reuse or sale, and steel wires are separated for recycling.

Emission Treatment

Finally, the exhaust gas passes through a dedusting and purification system to ensure the emissions meet environmental protection standards.

Pyrolysis Unit 10T Pyrolysis Plant FAQ Guide>>

A 10T/day waste tire pyrolysis plant typically generates 4–4.5 tons of pyrolysis oil per day (at $300–500/ton market price depending on region), plus 3–3.5 tons of carbon black and 1–1.5 tons of steel wire. Daily gross revenue commonly ranges from $1,500–2,500 USD depending on local market prices. With stable feedstock supply and proper downstream buyers, ROI is typically achieved within 12–24 months. Use our free [Project Feasibility Calculator] to enter your local prices and get a customized estimate.

The yield of a pyrolysis plant depends on the type of feedstock, its composition, moisture content, and the technology used. For a typical 10T/day tire pyrolysis plant, approximate yields are:

    1. From Waste Tires

    ProductApprox. Yield (%)
    Pyrolysis oil40–45%
    Carbon black30–35%
    Steel wire10–15%
    Non-condensable gas10–15%

continuous 10T configurations are designed for waste tire feedstock only. The batch type accepts whole tires; the semi-continuous type requires pre-shredded rubber powder or tire crumb. Yes, pyrolysis oil usually needs further refining to improve its quality.

    • Crude pyrolysis oil is dark, viscous, and contains impurities and sulfur.

    • Refining (e.g., distillation) can produce lighter, cleaner fractions suitable for diesel or industrial fuel.

    • Without refining, it’s mainly used as low-grade industrial fuel.

Yes, a 10T Pyrolysis Plant can operate semi-continuously or fully continuously, depending on its design:

    • Semi-continuous: Feedstock is added batch by batch while the reactor is hot.

    • Fully continuous: Feedstock is continuously fed, and products are continuously collected.

The main products of a 10T Pyrolysis Plant are:

    • Pyrolysis oil – can be used as fuel or refined into diesel

    • Carbon black – used in rubber, ink, or pigment industries

    • Steel wire – recycled from tires

    • Non-condensable gas – reused to heat the reactor

It depends on your end use. Raw pyrolysis oil (42–46 MJ/kg calorific value) can be used directly as boiler fuel, cement kiln fuel, or generator fuel — no refining needed. If you want to produce diesel-grade fuel for vehicles or sell to refineries, a secondary distillation step is required. PyrolysisUnit offers the 10T pyrolysis plant in two configurations to match your feedstock, budget, and operational requirements.

The Batch Type accepts whole tires directly — no pre-shredding required. It uses a standard semi-automatic electrical cabinet, making it the lower-investment entry point. Steel wire and carbon black are discharged together after each cycle, which means the workshop environment is less clean during discharge. Best suited for operations that prioritize simplicity and lower startup cost.

The Semi-Continuous Type processes rubber powder (pre-shredded tires), using quantitative continuous feeding — no cooling period needed between batches, so oil and slag are produced continuously. Steel wire is removed before pyrolysis, eliminating the discharge step entirely. Carbon black is discharged through a fully enclosed system. The plant is equipped with full PLC control for precise parameter management and better operability. The result: a significantly cleaner workshop environment and higher automation level.
